Evelyn's son and the associate who prepared the initial probate filing paperwork, though he maintains he worked only from documents his mother provided. Graham had access to the firm's files on the Cray estate throughout 2019. He is the only person at Ashworth & Associates who was known to own a gel pen — specifically a Pilot G2 — which he used compulsively for margin notes on legal briefs. The person who cracked the case open is also, technically, a suspect — because Maren Falk had access to the library's genealogical records on Bernard Cray for months before she reported anything, and because her own amateur genealogy work had led her to Bernard Cray once before, in 2018, when she was helping trace the Caldmere roots of a British maritime family.
